Curly's Athletes are super excited to be partnering up with our Askham Bryan Wildlife & Conservation Park friends and Project Moon Bear charity chums, to host the first ever running of the Big Bear Run 10k!
If you can please pop out and cheers on and support the runners, it’s going to be an amazing day.

ps: we will be dropping leaflets out around two weeks before the event :)

We're going to be based just South of the Weir (the pond with all the friendly ducks on!), just after the water fountain on School Lane.
Curlys are also planing a little duck based surprise on our finisher medals and a nod to our duck friends!
A HUGE thank you to the village for hosting us... we will be there with ducks, water, cheering and music for the runners (no ducks will be given to any runners!) so please pop along for a cheer.
Runners will be coming through Askham Richard heading north on School Lane from roughly 10:05 to 10:40, this is at the 2km mark.
Road closures will be in place and runners are on the road during this time, so we wont be able to have any vehicle movements (sorry) but please chat to Curlys team who will be based in this area for access/exit queries or even better get in touch ahead of the day. As we're able to release traffic then it will only be the northern exit of the village as runners will still be on York Road until the finish. Road closures are in place in the area from 09:30 until 12:00.

A HUGE thank you to the village and the Country Classroom team for hosting us... we will be there with water, cheering and music for the runners so please pop along or if you live of Back Lane then please pop out to support. Check them out here.
Runners will be coming through Bilbrough and along Back Lane from roughly 10:20 to 11:20, just after 6km on the run. Road closures will be in place and runners are on the road during this time, so we wont be able to have any vehicle movements (sorry) but please chat to Curlys team who will be based in this area for access/exit queries or even better get in touch ahead of the day.
